EYFS is taught by Miss Goode and is supported by Miss Sibson.
Every day in Rabbit class is an adventure!
We have lots of fun learning through play, exploring all areas of our provision both indoors and outdoors. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which is a play-based approach to learning and development, enabling children to develop in all areas.
The EYFS curriculum is made up of Seven areas;

We follow the children's interests to plan creative and practical activities to enables them to grow and build confidence.
Through daily phonics, maths activities and circle times we aim for all children to become confident readers, writers and mathematicians. Phonics is very important in EYFS, the sounds the children learn will help them develop the knowledge to read and write. Through daily phonics lessons, following the Read Write Inc. We believe the relationships which the children develop in Early Years with each other and with the adults in the classroom are key to their happiness and will lay the best possible foundation for them to become independent lifelong learners.
Rabbit Class is a friendly, happy and exciting place to be. We want to ensure that the children have to best learning experience in their first year at school.
We teach the children in Rabbit Class that it is ok to make mistakes. we believe that it is important to support children to build resilience, take risks and welcome challenge!
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday, so please send your child in wearing their kits.
