Pupils Shine at Night at the Movies

Our Year 3 pupils had a fantastic time this week as they took part in the Night at the Movies concert at The Cedars Academy. They joined children from Highcliffe, Riverside and Cedars for an evening filled with film music and a real sense of togetherness.

All four schools opened with You’ve Got a Friend in Me which set a lovely tone for the night. Later in the concert, they joined again to sing Pure Imagination and What a Wonderful World before ending the evening with a lively performance of Happy. Hearing the children sing these songs as one group was a special moment for everyone watching.

We also performed our own piece, A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. The children helped choose the song themselves after talking about their favourite films and musicals. They sang beautifully and showed real confidence on stage.

Before the event, pupils took part in singing workshops with Leicestershire Music which helped them warm up their voices, practise the joint songs and feel ready for the performance.

We are really proud of every pupil who took part. They represented our school brilliantly and loved being part of such a memorable event.
