Pupils enjoy a magnifique French afternoon

We had a very special visit from eight Year 9 pupils from Cedars Academy, recently. They came with Miss Spencer-Davis to share their French skills with our classes and brought lots of enthusiasm with them.

The afternoon started with Year 6 who played a lively game of Battleships to practise phrases about appearance. There was plenty of laughter as pupils tried to sink each other’s ships while speaking in French. Later, the Year 9 group worked with Year 3 who are just beginning to learn the language. They played a fun ‘Break the Code’ game to unlock greetings and animal names, followed by a round of Bingo to practise numbers up to 30.

The visitors were fantastic role models. They explained activities clearly and helped small groups, showing confidence and teamwork. It was lovely to see them enjoying the chance to teach and inspire others.

A big thank you to Mrs Bhavsar for helping to organise the visit. Our pupils had a brilliant time and we hope to welcome more language learning adventures soon
