Celebrating Navaratri with Dance and Joy

We were delighted to celebrate the vibrant festival of Navaratri with a special dance workshop for Years 1 to 6. Led by Mrs Bhavsar, the session gave children the chance to learn traditional moves and explore the cultural significance of this joyful occasion.

The morning began with excitement as pupils arrived dressed in colourful outfits, ready to take part in the fun. Vibrant music filled the air in our School Hall and the energy was infectious.

Mrs Bhavsar guided each year group through the steps, sharing the meaning behind the dances and the importance of Navaratri in Hindu culture. It was a wonderful opportunity for children to learn through movement and celebration, and to appreciate the diversity within our school community.

The workshop was filled with smiles, laughter and lots of twirling. It was fantastic to see pupils embracing the experience with such enthusiasm and curiosity.

We’re proud to offer opportunities like this that bring learning to life and help our children grow in understanding and respect for different traditions. A huge thank you to Mrs Bhavsar for making the morning so memorable!
